The Hamworthy Club was packed with D&G Members in eager anticipation of another successful Area Day organised by the JDE&S Committee.

 

They were not disappointed. In the morning Pip Bensley gave a very informative illustrated talk on plants for a flower arrangers garden. What a wealth of information Pip was able to pass on, many people were seen scribbling down notes ready for a trip to a nursery or garden centre.

After a much appreciated hot lunch, members were taken on a “Flight of Fancy” by national demonstrator Gill McGregor. Gill produced a lovely range of designs accompanied by entertaining patter.

Fabulous evening celebrating Verwood’s Golden Anniversary.
This lovely welcome arrangement, and beautiful cake were much admired by founder members (pictured here with the cake), the present committee (also pictured with the cake), members and Area Officers. Emily Broomhead entertained  with a fabulous demonstration and the evening was rounded off with drinks and food. Congratulations to all at Verwood.
