Alison Yeates and Lucille Street of Verwood Club, on behalf of the Area, staged this beautifully colourful exhibit in the Area Class “On the Shoulders of Giants” Their giant was Sir Isaac Newton and the design was based around his experiments with prisms which led to theories regarding colour which is integral to our floral designs.
Bere Regis member Diana Holman competed in the small scale class “Richly Woven” Here is her delightful exhibit which won her a Very Highly Commended Award.
Weymouth Floral Design group created 10 table decorations and a pedestal at the Nothe Fort in Weymouth during their 3 day celebrations for the Coronation. They thought that this venue would bring pleasure to more people. “we all had a great time together making them. “

Denise Jones and Jill Hallett of Weymouth Floral Design Group represented NAFAS/D&G Area at Westminster Abbey to decorate for Easter. They were delighted to be asked to create the pedestals at the high altar. To learn more about their experience click here.
Area Chairman Sylvia Preston presents a cheque for £100 to David Corben, Chairman of the Swanage Lifeboat, this money was raised at the Carol Service in December. Assistant Treasurer Pat Cherrett accompanied Sylvia.
