Verwood Flower Club
The Verwood Flower Club
meets in the evening (7:30pm)
on the 1st Tuesday of the month at:
The Memorial Hall
Ringwood Road
Verwood

Verwood Flower Club was formed in 1969 and meets on the first Tuesday of each month. At our monthly meetings we usually have an Area or National Demonstrator showing us their skills in flower arranging, informing us on technique, use of flowers, foliage and mechanics.
We hold workshops and organise classes in floral design which range from beginners basics to more advanced topics. These are always well attended and have encouraged our membership to increase. These classes have given our members the knowledge and confidence to enter our own competitive shows that we hold ever other year and also to compete at Area and National Shows. We have fund raising events such as coffee mornings, cream teas in members gardens, cheese and wine & quiz evenings, fun horse racing event, silent auction and exhibitions. We also organise an August and Christmas lunch for members only. Our club's competitive show fills our local hall with a mass of flower arrangements for the public to view. We invite local craft stall holders, have a plant stall, a raffle and refreshments served all day. We are asked as a club to arrange flowers at church festivals near and far and local public events.
