Denise’s Upcycled Design

Today sees the release of the last video of this series, but we’ll start our Christmas season shortly! Today’s video is by Denise Jones a D&G Area demonstrator. In this demonstration, Denise upcycles jam jars and a wine box as her mechanics for a delightful, foam free design.

Allison’s Dorset Sunset

Well the weather has been pretty grim and the news too, so we hope this latest video from Allison Finch will bring you a little Dorset joy. It’s so clear here today that we may even get a super sunset today.
Allison is an Area demonstrator and teacher. In this video her inspiration has once more come from the beautiful Dorset countryside. Her “Dorset Sunset” arrangement is a radial design using garden flowers and foliage. Allison includes foam and foam free options in this video.

Letter on behalf of the Directors of NAFAS informing members of the resignation of National Chairman Dr Christina Curtis

National Chairman’s Resignation, October 2020
It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that our National Chairman, Dr Christina
Curtis, has tendered her resignation this morning with immediate effect.
Recently, the loss of the Diamond events and the impact of the pandemic have added
immense pressures to the role of NAFAS Chairman. Christina has worked tirelessly for
NAFAS through her two-year period as Vice Chairman and the past 12 months as Chairman,
however the added pressures of the role have had an impact on Christina’s health and
wellbeing, and it is for these reasons that the Board and I have reluctantly accepted her
resignation.
I would like to acknowledge Christina’s dedication to NAFAS and hope that we can all meet
again soon in more socially easier and enjoyable circumstances.
As the recently elected Vice Chairman, I will step up and take on the role of Chairman and
work with my fellow Trustees to steer the Association to more prosperous times.
For and on behalf of the Board
Katherine Kear MDPF
New National Chairman
