Following the announcement on Monday that the relaxation of COVID rules is to be delayed, the Area Garden Gatherings planned for 22/23/24th June 2021 have been cancelled. It is very sad that the event cannot take place, but everyone must follow the guidelines and keep safe.
D&G release a further video from Allison Finch
D&G Area Teacher and Demonstrator Allison Finch has based this design on a workshop she did with Jonathan Moseley. Working with light summer flowers she has replaced the original, visually heavy, wool felt and aluminium wire with short bands of paper although she says that “The design would work equally well with fabric, ribbons etc. (Although care should be taken not to ‘upstage’ the flowers.)” Allison has extended the concept to make place and wall settings, and these could also be used for chair backs. For this video Allison demonstrates a table setting for two, however many table settings (or indeed one long one) could be made to go the length of a buffet or wedding table.
